Redaktion: <\/span>Hannah Kre\u00df<\/span><\/p>\n To kick off his summer tour, the <\/span>Minister President of Lower Saxony, Olaf Lies<\/span><\/a>, visited the ZeBra Center of Fire Safety Research on 1 July. The first day of his tour focused on civil protection. During his visit, he was given an insight into the various areas of the research centre and started a fire test on a wooden fa\u00e7ade.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Digital Construction Site<\/span><\/a>, a unique research infrastructure for exploring the construction site of the future, was officially opened on 3 July at Campus East.The project aims to drive forward the digitalisation of the construction sector, paving the way for a more productive and sustainable industry.<\/span><\/p>\n As part of the DAAD-funded project, <\/span>\u201cGo Out \u2013 Come In 2.0: Hybrid Shared Experiences\u201d<\/span><\/a>, our university is promoting international teacher training. Working closely with partner universities in Chile, Spain and the USA, the programme enables the next generation of teachers to gain practical experience abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n TU has received <\/span>significant funding<\/span><\/a> totalling \u20ac825,000 from the Professor Programme of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture. The aim is to promote gender equality in science and achieve parity in top scientific positions.<\/span><\/p>\n The Green Office brings students, teachers and staff together to promote sustainability in everyday university life. This <\/span>magazine article<\/span><\/a> presents the projects and activities through which the Green Office supports and helps to shape sustainable development at TU Braunschweig.<\/span><\/p>\n Various summer schools<\/span><\/a> will once again be held at TU Braunschweig this summer. These include the DLR_Uni_Summer_School, the Automotive Circular Economy Summer School, the SE\u00b2A International Summer School, the \u201cCellular Metabolism\u201d Summer School and the International Summer School. These programmes offer early-career researchers and students the opportunity to engage intensively with specialised topics, expand their professional networks and advance their careers.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPersonalmagazin\u201d has named <\/span>Prof. Simone Kauffeld <\/span><\/a>as one of the 40 leading figures in the field of human resources. This award honours leaders from the worlds of management, science, and consultancy who are providing groundbreaking ideas for shaping a modern working world. Congratulations!<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026 to Maurice Macier, winner of the <\/span>2025 VMPA Young Talent Award <\/span><\/a>for his master’s thesis on monitoring chloride-induced corrosion in reinforced concrete beams under continuous load, completed at the iBMB in the field of building materials. This award recognises the commitment of young technical and scientific talent, and is presented by the Association of Materials Testing Institutes (Verband der Materialpr\u00fcfanstalten e. V. \u2013 VMPA).<\/span><\/p>\n The Department of Architecture is inviting to its<\/span> annual exhibition of the students<\/span><\/a>, which runs from 14 to 19 July, under the motto \u201cArchitecture \u2013 More than Buildings\u201d. On 18 July, all institutes will open their doors for the traditional joint tour.<\/span><\/p>\n The choir and orchestra invite you to four <\/span>extraordinary sing-along concerts<\/span><\/a> in the Audimax of TU Braunschweig. With the title \u201cKaraOPER\u201d, the audience can look forward to a diverse selection of opera pieces, featuring well-known choral passages that encourage active participation. The concerts will take place on 12 and 13 July, and 15 and 16 July, and admission is free.<\/span><\/p>\n On 14 July, the <\/span>three best student impact projects<\/span><\/a> developed as part of the <\/span>Impact Learning programme<\/span><\/a> will be honoured for the first time. The awards will be given to projects that have made a significant contribution to opening up the university to society.<\/span><\/p>\n On 25 June, the first <\/span>Braunschweig Lego Scrum<\/span><\/a> event took place in the plaza of the Computer Science Centre. In just four hours, the team simulated a software development process that would normally take four months. To achieve this 672-fold acceleration, a Lego city was developed that took all customer requirements into account.<\/span><\/p>\n Gl\u00fcckslotse & Gl\u00fcckspunkte f\u00fcr Braunschweig<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Safer Space at TU Braunschweig<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Senior*innen meets Studierendencaf\u00e9<\/span><\/a> are three projects that were developed on 4 June in a future workshop. Now, committed employees and students are being sought to further develop, actively shape and implement the projects. Those interested in setting up a business can apply until 13 July. They are currently the subject of consultations in the committees and are therefore still subject to change. Working groups interested in submitting an application can already orientate themselves on the basis of these drafts and use the time until publication to form international consortia.
