As part of a measurement campaign by the European Space Agency (ESA), it records the condition of vegetation from above. The aim is to detect signs of drought or heat stress early on, enabling <\/span>climate-adapted measures<\/span><\/a> to be taken in agriculture.<\/span><\/p>\n The mineral atacamite exhibits an <\/span>unusual effect when exposed to cold<\/span><\/a>: its temperature changes drastically when a magnetic field is applied \u2013 a phenomenon known as the magnetocaloric effect. Researchers at TU Braunschweig and HZDR have studied this material in order to develop new, energy-efficient cooling technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n Rousing big band sounds in a summery atmosphere! The children were divided into small groups and encouraged to approach mathematics individually, creatively and independently at various stations. On 10 July at 18:30, Professor Norbert Finzsch, a historian, will give a <\/span>lecture<\/span><\/a> on current science and cultural policy in the USA.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>programme<\/span><\/a> offered by the Center of Excellence in Lower Saxon Higher Education enables teachers to obtain the \u201cLandeszertfikat Hochschullehre Niedersachsen\u201d. It provides a <\/span>range of courses<\/span><\/a> to support teachers in the rapidly evolving landscape of higher education.<\/span><\/p>\n The ERC funds top-level research in Europe. Researchers from all nations can submit applications at various programme levels (Starting, Consolidator, Advanced,et al.). In the workshop by the Research Services, Dr. Astrid Sebastian will provide information on application options, current deadlines and changes expected in the programme from 2026. Event language: German and English.<\/span><\/p>\n The European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS) invites to the <\/span>\u201cLower Saxony – Scotland Joint Forum 2025\u201d<\/span><\/a>, which will take place on 27-28 November at the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE). An online info session will be offered for participation on 9 July.<\/span><\/p>\n Until 25 July, anyone conducting research in a STEM discipline or on a STEM topic who would like to address gender dimensions in their own field can <\/span>apply as a guest researcher<\/span><\/a>.
