Prof. Vanessa Miriam Carlow and the SpACE Lab at ISU <\/span>\u2013<\/span> Institute for Sustainable Urbanism will contribute urban planning and participatory perspectives in mobility planning.<\/span><\/p>\n The University of Rhode Island and TU Braunschweig are celebrating 30 years of strategic partnership and collaboration. The opening ceremony of the celebration will be <\/span>livestreamed on YouTube<\/span><\/a> on Friday 6 June, starting at 9 am EDT (3 pm CEST). The event will feature remarks by our president, Angela Ittel, URI President Marc Parlange and several URI deans.<\/span><\/p>\n On 21 June, the Summervibes Festival will take place on the North Campus from 3 pm This free, one-day festival offers a varied programme across seven areas, inviting visitors to <\/span>chat, dance, play, exercise and learn<\/span><\/a>. The festival is aimed at students, employees, and external guests. Families are also welcome, and with activities for all age groups, there is something for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n The Center of Pharmaceutical Engineering (PVZ) has expanded its biotechnology facility with the addition of a cutting-edge plate separator from the GEA Group. The<\/span> biotechnological value chain<\/span><\/a> can now be realised at the PVZ, from pre-culture and cultivation to cell separation and active ingredient purification.<\/span><\/p>\n TU doctoral candidate Lisa-Katharina M\u00f6hlen is examining how pupils with special educational needs are taught in 35 schools across eight US states. Supported by <\/span>a Fulbright scholarship<\/span><\/a>, she compares American guidelines and practices with those in Germany and Austria.<\/span><\/p>\n How does water flow through a landscape? What role do landforms play in heavy rain or flooding? Questions like these can be visualised with the help of the <\/span>\u201cAugmented Reality Sandbox\u201d<\/span><\/a>. Our picture of the month shows a section of this interactive exhibit, which was used by the Leichtwei\u00df-Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources to bring science to life during the CampusXperience Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n On 13 June, the Audimax will explore how science and society perceive time differently. As part of the <\/span>concert and lecture series \u201cTIME\u201d<\/span><\/a>, researchers from the QuantumFrontiers Cluster of Excellence will collaborate with the \u201cJunge Kammerchor Braunschweig\u201d choir.<\/span><\/p>\n The project \u201cGender Dimensions in STEM Research (GeDiMINT)\u201d is the latest in the \u201cResearch in Dialogue\u201d series. On 23 June, <\/span>Prof. Leicht-Scholten will give a lecture entitled<\/span><\/a> \u201cGendering STEM: Gender as a category of analysis for socially responsible research and development in the technical sciences\u201d. <\/span>Registration<\/span><\/a> is requested.<\/span><\/p>\n Short, concise, inspiring: The Green Office invites all TU members to virtual lunch breaks on BigBlueButton. On three Thursdays (12:00\u201312:30 pm), each session will feature a 20-minute input on topics of (higher) education for sustainable development (ESD). Please note: The sessions will be held in German.<\/span><\/p>\n In funding line 1 of the Impulsfonds, 15 of a total of 27 project proposals submitted in the <\/span>\u201cSeed Funding Call Ecosystem\u201d<\/span><\/a> were selected for funding. The researchers at TU Braunschweig are using this to further expand their collaborations with non-university partners in the scientific ecosystem or create new collaborations.<\/span><\/p>\n As part of a DAAD delegation, Research Services take part in the <\/span>\u201cEuropean Higher Education Fair\u201d<\/span><\/a> (EHEF 2025), a career fair for Japanese students and doctoral candidates, which is organized at Hosei University (Tokyo) and Kansai University (Osaka).<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026 are those working hard to organise and run the <\/span>University Information Day on 13 June<\/span><\/a>.
