It is now one of almost 50 universities in Germany that actively promote fair trade and global justice. The certificate was presented by Fairtrade Germany as part of the \u201cTUmorrow Awards 2025\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n After three years, the twelve project partners from industry, science, software development and infrastructure are reporting positive results for the ATLAS-L4 research and development project. Among other things, the<\/span> Institute for Control Engineering<\/span><\/a> developed concepts for the safe operation of Level 4 trucks and for the technical self-awareness of automated vehicles for ATLAS-L4.<\/span><\/p>\n Targeted re-entry predictions for individual objects are made at the Institute of Space Systems using a<\/span> simulation algorithm<\/span><\/a> developed in-house. According to current information, the Soviet space capsule is expected to re-enter the atmosphere on Saturday morning at around 6:45 a.m. CEST.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Coastal Research Centre (FZK)<\/span><\/a> of TU Braunschweig and Leibniz Universit\u00e4t Hannover has been contributing its special expertise in the field of coastal engineering to the German Marine Research Alliance (DAM) since 2020. In a thoroughly positive evaluation of the DAM’s work, an independent commission has now underlined the importance of the Alliance as a central platform for marine research in Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the latest<\/span> CHE university ranking<\/span><\/a>, students at TU Braunschweig are very satisfied with the study conditions at the Technical University of Braunschweig. The university received top marks for the support it provides to new students. TU Braunschweig also scored highly in the area of research.<\/span><\/p>\n Funding for astrophysicist Prof. Jessica Agarwal has been extended for three years and she has been appointed to a tenured professorship. <\/span>Prof Agarwal<\/span><\/a> studies the physical properties of asteroids and comets, which are central to the formation of our solar system.<\/span><\/p>\n The Institute of Structural Design has made it to the 33 finalists of the <\/span>3D Pioneers Challenge<\/span><\/a>, the international competition for additive manufacturing and disruptive technologies, with its \u201cShotcrete 3D Printing\u201d process developed at our university. We are keeping our fingers crossed for the award ceremony on 14 May in Erfurt.<\/span><\/p>\n On 13 May, Waldemar Korte, one of Germany’s best-known architects in the field of concrete 3D printing in practice, will give an <\/span>insight into current concrete 3D printing projects<\/span><\/a> in Germany, highlighting their potential, challenges and implementation strategies. The lecture is part of the seminar on digital design and construction organised by the Institute for Construction Engineering and Management.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Science and Art Lab<\/span><\/a> invites you to an evening of dialogue in duet format: TU Braunschweig’s first artist in residence, Mareike Bernien, and quantum researcher Professor Andreas Waag discuss their work and the idea of the artist residency. On 15 May there will be a duet between Professor Sabine C. Langer, head of the Institute of Acoustics and Dynamics, and the artist, sound collector and composer Yeongbin Lee. Both events start at 18:00 and will be held in German. There were many people who showed extraordinary courage in their resistance to the Nazi regime. Some names, such as the Scholl siblings and Staufenberg, are well known, but many other stories and names remain hidden or forgotten. The <\/span>series of events organised by the Cooperation Office<\/span><\/a>, starting on 12 May, aims to commemorate these voices and encourage reflection on the present.<\/span><\/p>\n The ZPE invites all employees and managers to a <\/span>digital lunch event called \u201cImpulsh\u00e4ppchen\u201d<\/span><\/a> with keynote speeches on topics related to the (new) world of work.
