The exhibition was curated by TU Braunschweig and organised in collaboration with the St\u00e4dtisches Museum.<\/span><\/p>\n On 11 March, the research project <\/span>\u201cConnect2Transform\u201d<\/span><\/a> (C2T) was launched, which will drive forward the transformation of heating and cooling supply in urban areas. The project, funded by the BMWK with around \u20ac3.4 million, will turn the Bahnstadt district of Braunschweig into a real-life laboratory for energy system transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n At the beginning of March, the BMBF-funded research campus entered its third funding period. At the <\/span>Open Hybrid LabFactory<\/span><\/a> in Wolfsburg, Volkswagen, TU Braunschweig, the Fraunhofer Society, the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences and 35 other partners are pooling their expertise. The aim is to develop solutions for sustainable recycling management in the automotive industry.<\/span><\/p>\n The European joint research project <\/span>\u201cDuneFront\u201d<\/span><\/a>, in which the Leichtwei\u00df Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources is involved, aims to better understand dune-dike systems and drive forward their implementation. The hybrid, nature-based approach combines natural dunes with artificial dikes. A total of 18 partners are involved in the project.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Leichtwei\u00df Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources<\/span><\/a> has studied how paint particles from offshore wind farms could spread in the sea. The aim is to further reduce chemical emissions from wind turbines. The results of the study have now been published in the \u201cMarine Pollution Bulletin\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n Researchers at our university, Tel Aviv University and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel are investigating how emotions influence our engagement with scientific information that we encounter on social media or through AI chatbots. The <\/span>German-Israeli project<\/span><\/a> is being funded with around 466,000 euros by the MWK and the Volkswagen Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n After five years of research into digitalisation, scientists will present the <\/span>results of their projects<\/span><\/a> at the NFF on 20 March. Through lectures and exhibits, they will provide insights into current trends in autonomous driving, AI, digital security and new business models. Attendance is free, but <\/span>registration<\/span><\/a> is required.<\/span><\/p>\n Prof. Vadim Issakov from the Institute for CMOS Design and his Japanese colleague Prof. Hiroki Ishikuro have been working together for several years on projects in the field of <\/span>quantum technology<\/span><\/a>. As part of the Japanese exchange programme ASPIRE, both teams are jointly researching quantum classical interfaces (QCI) through heterogeneous integration.<\/span><\/p>\n Registration for the language courses<\/span><\/a> in the summer semester started this week. The registration deadline is 21 March at 12 noon. The same deadline applies to the courses offered by the Corporate Health Promotion.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Green Office is awarding prizes<\/span><\/a> of \u20ac500 each for outstanding dissertations, volunteer work and innovative courses in the field of sustainability. Applications are open until 31 March.<\/span><\/p>\n TU is promoting sustainability in teaching and learning to prepare students for their role as agents of change in society. The <\/span>Green Office<\/span><\/a> is currently exploring the links between the UN Sustainable Development Goals and teaching content. Lecturers can use an <\/span>online survey<\/span><\/a> to indicate the links between their modules and courses and sustainability issues until 30 March.<\/span><\/p>\n How can audience response tools enrich teaching? On 26 March, Co3Learn will demonstrate how digital voting and feedback tools can actively engage students and facilitate interaction in courses.
