Using digital formats and on-site camps, the programme introduces female high school students from all over Germany to STEM degree programmes and professions. The focus is on the future-oriented topics of batteries and fuel cells.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba Together with S\u00e3o Paulo: Master&#8217;s module on nutrition and metabolism<\/h3>\n<p>TU Braunschweig and University of S\u00e3o Paulo have launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/magazin.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/m-post\/tu-braunschweig-and-university-of-sao-paulo-launch-joint-masters-module-on-nutrition-and-metabolism\/\">joint module in the Master&#8217;s programme in Biology<\/a>. Virtual lectures, interactive group work and practical exercises on site offer a learning experience that prepares students for international scientific cooperation.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba Lower Saxony \u2013 Scotland Research and Innovation Scheme<\/h3>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/zukunft.niedersachsen.de\/en\/funding-offers\/lower-saxony-scotland-research-and-innovation-scheme-stream-ii-excellence-track\/\">\u201cStream II \u2013 Excellence Track\u201d<\/a> of this programme, researchers may apply for up to 100.000 \u20ac to conduct joint research to lay the foundation for successful third-party funding bids. Applications may be submitted until 30 June. On 6 March and 18 March there will be online Q&amp;A sessions.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba Science on Display<\/h3>\n<p>The Science and Art Lab of TU Braunschweig is the first guest in the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/projekthaus\/labs\/science-art-lab\/wissenschaftsschaufenster\">Wissenschaftsschaufenster<\/a> (science display window) of the ForschungRegion at Waisenhausdamm 8. A wide range of events linking art and science will take place there until June. All TU members are cordially invited to the opening on Tuesday, 4 March at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba Information portal with a new design: give feedback<\/h3>\n<p>On 3 March, the Information portal will be relaunched with a new design and useful features to make finding information more efficient and enjoyable. Improvements have been identified through the administration&#8217;s service survey and workshops. First impressions can be shared via <a href=\"https:\/\/tu-braunschweig.webex.com\/tu-braunschweig\/j.php?MTID=me134836cd19c991a03cd9a4e89d3cbef\">Webex<\/a> on 6 March at 9am.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba Service Centre for Diamond Open Access<\/h3>\n<p>The German Research Foundation (DFG) has set up a national <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/ub\/publishing-open-access\/publishing-open-access\/open-access-publication-services\/sedoa-servicestelle-diamond-open-access\">\u201cService Centre for Diamond Open Access\u201d<\/a> (SeDOA) to support scientific institutions throughout Germany in their efforts to implement Diamond Open Access. The university library is one of 15 project partners of the Service Center that will start work on 1 May.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba #buntstadt conference to strengthen democracy<\/h3>\n<p>Last year, TU took part in the #buntstadt corporate action day \u201c75 years of the Basic Law\u201d. In order to gain new common perspectives for strengthening democracy, a #buntstadt conference with various workshops will take place on the northern campus on 15 March under the motto \u201cNow more than ever! For Democracy -\u2013 Against Hate and Agitation\u201d. Register <a href=\"https:\/\/www.koop-son.de\/aktuelles\/termine\/termin\/buntstadt-konferenz\/2025-03-15_0000\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba Science Meets Care<\/h3>\n<p>The first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/chancengleichheit\/familienbuero\/topics-and-information\/translate-to-english-wissenschaft-und-fuersorge\">event<\/a> in the Science Meets Care series will take place on 19 March at 10 a.m. with an online lecture on \u201cThe care gap in science \u2013 and how we can close it\u201d. The (in)compatibility of parenthood and an academic career is examined on the basis of recent data, and concrete solutions are presented.<\/p>\n<h3>\u25ba Darling of the week<\/h3>\n<p>\u2026 this time is a darling in our own interest: our colleague Regina Eckhoff is about to retire. For decades she has been shaping the communication of our university. With her knowledge of the TU Braunschweig, she was the walking encyclopaedia of the Communications and Press Service. She launched the freshers&#8217; welcome event in the Eintracht stadium, set editorial standards, wrote tons of press releases and magazine articles, trained our interns with great dedication and pleasure, cultivated networks \u2013 and last but not least, she was an important part of the editorial team of \u201cDie Woche\u201d for many years.
