At the same time, in the BMBF project CryoSoQ, they are working on parametric amplifiers for superconducting quantum computers to improve their performance at low temperatures and promote the scalability of the technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/b>The<\/span> Erasmus+ project<\/span><\/a> ‘ICEPELL’ (Intercultural Citizenship Education through Picturebooks in Early English Language Learning) has been awarded the<\/span> ELTons Award by the British Council<\/span><\/a>. Under the leadership of Prof. Carmen Becker, the Didactics Department of the Institute of English Studies participated in the international project, which promotes intercultural learning and citizenship education in English classes at primary and secondary level through picture books.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/b>In the series ‘Dictionaries of Linguistics and Communication Studies’, Prof. Martin Neef from the Institute of German Studies, Department of Linguistics and Medieval Studies, has published an alphabetical, bilingual specialist dictionary <\/span>\u201cSchriftlinguistik\u201d<\/span><\/a> containing more than 2,300 entries. The book is aimed at students, teachers and anyone interested in the field of written linguistics.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/b>Under the title ‘Colour \u2013 Public Space \u2013 Wellbeing’, students from the Institute of Landscape Architecture explored the topic of wellbeing in public spaces. They were accompanied by Chilean graphic designer Elisa Cordero-Jahr, whose research focuses on colour.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/b>With this in mind, the <\/span>TechTalks YouTube channel<\/span><\/a> provides a platform for various stakeholders to share their knowledge with the region. The keynote speeches by experts provide valuable insights into future topics in the fields of mobility, digitalisation and sustainability. The aim of TechTalks is to promote knowledge sharing in the region and create learning opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/b>A second <\/span>workshop on improving the information portal <\/span><\/a>will be held via Webex on Wednesday 4 December from 09:00 to 10:00. The potential for improvement identified during the first workshop will be presented and initial possible solutions will be presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/b>Our darling of the week makes the campus bloom. On Thursday and Friday, students from Faculty 3 planted flowering islands of crocuses and daffodils at various locations on the Central and North campuses. The campaign, in which a total of around 40,000 flower bulbs were planted, was organised by the Institute of Building Climatology and Energy in Architecture. In the spring, new benches will be installed in the planted areas, and the students will hold a small celebration to mark the flowering of the bulbs. The campus is blossoming!<\/span><\/p>\n
