Numerous students, staff and supporters gathered to send out a signal in favour of diversity, acceptance and the right to self-determination at TU Braunschweig.<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026 happened on campus at the beginning of August. On behalf of the Canadian Memorial University of Newfoundland, Dr Britta Baron, President of the European-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research, met with TU President Angela Ittel to speak about possible <\/span>cooperation between the two universities in the field of wind and hydrogen economy<\/span><\/a>. Baron also visited several institutes at TU Braunschweig.<\/span><\/p>\n In August, two workshops will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. as part of the development of measures for the <\/span>TU sustainability strategy<\/span><\/a>: On 22 August, the topic will be sustainability and digitalisation, on 27 August, organisational culture and personnel development will be discussed. Registration is possible via StudIP.<\/span><\/p>\n The head of the Institute of Legal Studies is part of an expert group convened by the Lower Saxony State Commissioner for Data Protection. Its task will be to formulate framework conditions for the use of artificial intelligence in business and administration in <\/span>compliance with data protection requirements<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Media Lab<\/span><\/a> is a new flexible experimental space in the Historic Main building. In future, the latest media technologies and products on the market will be trialled here, and technology-supported teaching and new forms of communication with teaching staff and students will be tested.<\/span><\/p>\n Inspired by a symposium, a summer school on data analysis took place at the <\/span>Institute of Plant Biology<\/span><\/a>. PhD students from Braunschweig research institutions \u2013 including the JKI, HZI and DSMZ \u2013 acquired skills in genomics, transcriptomics and applied bioinformatics and learned how to work independently with new bioinformatic tools.<\/span><\/p>\n The German Research Association (DFG) offers the <\/span>info talks series<\/span><\/a> \u201cPROSPECTS\u201d on its funding formats and career planning for postdocs and PhD candidates from all disciplines. The events are held in English or German.<\/span><\/p>\n At the <\/span>anniversary concert<\/span><\/a> on 17 August at 3 pm in the Millenium Event Center, TU Braunschweig wind orchestra will share the fun of music and celebrate 60 years of AkaBlas with a diverse repertoire ranging from pop and swing to film classics. Admission is free of charge.<\/span><\/p>\n On 15 August from 4.15 to 5.45 pm, employees and students can ring in the evening with <\/span>yoga exercises and mindfulness impulses<\/span><\/a> on the lawn under the old copper beech tree in the Botanical Garden and experience peace and relaxation. There are still places available on the free leisure programme offered by the company and student health promotion teams.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n … we have this time. A week ago, the new trainees began a new chapter in their lives at our university. They were welcomed by President Angela Ittel and training coordinators Christin Jonscher and Lara Behrens at an <\/span>introductory event<\/span><\/a>.
