These were preserved in sediments from the former Sch\u00f6ningen open-cast mine.<\/span><\/p>\n Autonomous aircraft in the city must be able to fly reliably and automatically to the landing site along the optimal route. In the research project <\/span>\u201c<\/span>C2Land<\/span>\u201d<\/span>, scientists have successfully developed and demonstrated <\/span>camera-assisted navigation and flight control<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n At the beginning of June, <\/span>Dr Marta P\u00e9rez Rodr\u00edguez<\/span><\/a> from the Institute of Geoecology travelled with the research vessel <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Polarstern<\/span>\u201d<\/span> in the Fram Strait between Spitsbergen and Greenland. During the Alfred Wegener Institute’s expedition to the so-called <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Hausgarten<\/span>\u201d<\/span>, the environmental scientist collected sediments from this Arctic region for her studies on the mercury cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n Prof. Teskey is developing new methods that can be used to quickly assemble chemical raw materials into complex molecules \u2013 an important development for the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries, for example. His research is being <\/span>supported with around two million euros <\/span><\/a>as part of a new funding programme from zukunft.niedersachsen. Congratulations!<\/span><\/p>\n The Bachelor’s degree programme <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Battery and Hydrogen Technology<\/span>\u201d<\/span> starts in the winter semester 2024\/25. <\/span>In this interview<\/span><\/a>, Professor Georg Garnweitner and Professor Michael Heere talk about the special features of the degree programme, such as the hydrogen infrastructure with the H2 terminal and courses in a laboratory hydrogen escape room.<\/span><\/p>\n Several representatives of the long-standing <\/span>Indian partner university<\/span><\/a> recently visited TU Braunschweig. In recent months, the Institute of Genetics has established a <\/span>close collaboration<\/span><\/a> with the FABI in the field of fungal biology, which is to be further expanded in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n Around 155 students presented their term papers at the <\/span>\u201cYoung Software Developers\u2019 Day\u201d<\/span><\/a>. The most convincing project was an interactive learning environment for virtual reality that takes into account the special circumstances of ADHD and thus enables more effective learning.<\/span><\/p>\n The TU project <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Gl\u00fcckskompetenz in der Grundschule<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/a> (Gl\u00fcGS project) has been awarded the Social Impact Prize of the German-speaking umbrella organisation for positive psychology (Dach-PP).
