The new one-day festival format <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Summervibes X Campusnord<\/span>\u201d<\/span><\/a> invites you to enjoy the sounds of various live bands and a hands-on science exhibition from 3 pm. The free festival is organised by TU Braunschweig in cooperation with the AStA and the Jugendring Braunschweig.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The budget and finance committee of the Lower Saxony state parliament approved the <\/span>funds for the new physics and pharmacy buildings<\/span><\/a> on 12 June. The old physics building in Mendelssohnstra\u00dfe 2 will be replaced by the new physics teaching and laboratory building. The pharmacy will also receive a replacement building, which is to be built north of the existing pharmacy centre.<\/span><\/p>\n The German research vessel <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Polarstern<\/span>\u201d<\/span> drifted frozen in the Arctic Ocean for a year. At the <\/span>Alumni Talk <\/span><\/a>on 25 June, the leader of the MOSAiC expedition, Markus Rex, will talk about the dramatic climate change in the Arctic, everyday life on the ship and the first results of this unique expedition.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>new ZDIN Future Lab<\/span><\/a> will research digital solutions for the sustainable and efficient use of natural resources. It will receive \u20ac3.7 million from the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and the Volkswagen Foundation. The TU Braunschweig is part of the project consortium with two institutes.<\/span><\/p>\n To reduce the risks of a spider bite, patients have so far taken a serum of animal origin. On 7 June, the scientist was one of three award winners to receive the 75,000 euro <\/span>Dozentenpreis<\/span><\/a> (Lecturer Award) from the <\/span>\u201e<\/span>Fonds der Chemischen Industrie<\/span>\u201c<\/span>, one of the highest awards for young scientists in the field of chemistry.<\/span><\/p>\n … Dr Lucca Richter. On 3 June, he received the<\/span> Rudolf Urtel Prize<\/span><\/a> 2023 for his dissertation <\/span>\u201c<\/span>A 5G New Radio Terrestrial Broadcast System”, which he wrote at the Institute of Communications Engineering. The prize is intended to promote excellent achievements by young engineers in the fields of television, film and electronic media. We warmly congratulate!<\/span><\/p>\n As part of the TUmorrow Days, the <\/span>TUmorrow Awards<\/span><\/a> were presented in four categories. The winners were honoured for their special commitment to the topic of sustainability. The prizes, each worth 500 euros, are awarded by the Green Office in cooperation with the Braunschweigischer Hochschulbund.<\/span><\/p>\n … that’s what two students and a doctoral student experienced on an <\/span>expedition to Norway<\/span><\/a> with Prof. Andreas H\u00f6rdt. The two foundations donated an atomic force microscope that now enables pupils to carry out experiments investigating surfaces at the nanoscale.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation)<\/span><\/a> maintains cooperation agreements with a number of funding organisations in Europe and worldwide that offer complementary funding possibilities in order to facilitate transnational research activities.<\/span><\/p>\n Our two darlings of the week are already popular photo subjects: the two installations by the Institute for Architecture-Related Art for the <\/span>Braunschweig Light Parcours<\/span><\/a>.
