TU Braunschweig commemorated the victims of National Socialism<\/a> with a joint minute of silence and wreath-laying ceremony in front of the old building at 9:45 today. A report will be published in the magazine and on social media.<\/p>\n

\u25baTU Braunschweig stands for Democracy, Rule of Law, and Freedom<\/h3>\n

\u201cWe decisively and explicitly position ourselves against any form of racism, intolerance, and exclusion. Dehumanization has no place at TU Braunschweig\u201d, declares the statement from the university’s Executive Board<\/a>, adopted against the backdrop of recent societal developments.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Dialogue Formats of the President<\/h3>\n

The President invites members of TU Braunschweig to join dialogue formats for exchange: The Campus Hour<\/a> will take place on 31January at 14:00 as part of the Community Caf\u00e9 in the Old Building of the University. Registration for the next Office Hour<\/a> on 9 February is still open until 31 January.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Tracing Henri Bergson in Paris<\/h3>\n

Congratulations to Dr Tobias Endres<\/a> from the Institute of Philosophy! He has been awarded the coveted Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship for Postdocs by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Dr Endres will spend two years in Paris researching the philosophy of Nobel laureate Henri Bergson.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Pilot funding for impact projects<\/h3>\n

Four impact projects<\/a> by early career researchers are now being funded by the Knowledge Transfer of the Transfer and Cooperation Centre. They will be given the opportunity to explore what engagement with non-university communities can look like.<\/p>\n

\u25ba \u201cThe price of health …<\/h3>\n

High drug prices, legal regulation and justice\u201d will be discussed by Dr Simone Johner, Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care, and J\u00f6rg Schaaber, BUKO Pharma Campaign, on 1 February as part of the interdisciplinary event series \u201cZukunftsfragen \u2013 kontrovers\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Information for Examiners on Trans* Students<\/h3>\n

In examination situations, students may be required to present their identity card with an additional document. The Diversity Office provides information and advice<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Online-Workshop \u201cDiversity in Teaching\u201d<\/h3>\n

What can be done to create a diversity-friendly learning environment? Ines K\u00f6hler, Manager for Gender and Diversity at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, will provide practical suggestions. Registration<\/a> for the online workshop on 16 February is now open.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Change! Fellowships and Research Groups<\/h3>\n

The Volkswagen Foundation’s fellowship programme<\/a> is aimed at academics who have completed their doctorate at least two years ago and are conducting research on transformation processes. Non-academic stakeholders, such as civil society networks and associations, must be involved in the research process.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Musical darling of the week<\/h3>\n

\u201cWe’ll be Bach\u201d is the motto of the TU Choir’s two end-of-semester concerts inspired by the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The choir invites you to the Andreaskirche on 28 January and to the Audimax on 30 January<\/a>. We are looking forward to it!<\/p>\n
