Against the backdrop of recent societal developments, the Executive Board<\/a> of TU Braunschweig has issued the following statement.<\/p>\n

“At TU Braunschweig, we are observing with great concern the rising tendencies of anti-democratic, right-wing extremist, inhumane, and racist tendencies in parts of our society.<\/p>\n

In light of this, the Executive Board explicitly aligns itself with the statement of the German Rectors’ Conference<\/a>: Democracy, the rule of law, and freedom are central values for our University and indispensable prerequisites for good science.<\/p>\n

We firmly believe that the respectful exchange of diverse perspectives is a crucial element of a vibrant democratic discourse, and that science is strengthened through this diversity.<\/p>\n

Our University is a place where everyone can study, research, work and experience appreciation, regardless of their background or sexual orientation.<\/p>\n

In collaboration with our partners regionally and globally, we actively strive to ensure that our University remains a place where principles of freedom, democracy, and the rule of law are lived and promoted to the benefit of all our performance dimensions<\/a> without restrictions. Therefore, we decisively and explicitly position ourselves against any form of racism, intolerance, and exclusion. Dehumanisation has no place at TU Braunschweig.”<\/p>\n
