The Ukrainian architect is researching the impact of the war in Ukraine on the natural and built environment as well as the possibilities of sustainable reconstruction.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Treating causes instead of symptoms<\/h3>\n

Network and precision medicine wants to classify diseases on the basis of the underlying molecular mechanisms \u2013 instead of symptoms or affected organs. The extent to which databases with descriptions of diseases can support this is shown by researchers in the specialist journal \u201cNature Communications\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u25ba TOM: new degree programme at the interface between technology and management<\/h3>\n

The bachelor’s degree programme Technology-Oriented Management<\/a> (TOM), which starts in the winter semester, teaches how companies can better succeed in turning innovative technologies into successful business models in the future.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Picture of the month: The research engine<\/h3>\n

The Institute of Jet Propulsion and Turbomachinery, together with an industrial partner and LUH, has conducted measurement campaigns with TU Braunschweig’s research engine<\/a>. The data obtained will be used in several research projects on component fatigue as well as to build a digital twin of the engine.<\/p>\n

… is Hanna F. Willenbockel. She studies biology and is involved in science communication in the life sciences<\/a> alongside her master’s thesis. On Instagram, she gives insights into her research as part of her master’s thesis. She wants to inspire pupils to study biology and make bioscientific topics accessible to the general public in order to strengthen trust in research.<\/p>\n
