\u25ba 275 years of the University Library<\/h3>\n

… a reason to celebrate! The University Library is starting its anniversary year with a colourful programme<\/a>. At 275 years old, it is one of the oldest libraries at Technical Universities in Germany.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Minister of Science visits the research airport<\/h3>\n

On 13 April, Falko Mohrs<\/a>, Lower Saxony’s Minister for Science and Culture, visited the mobility cluster Research Airport in Braunschweig. The focus of the talks was aviation research with current strategies and projects.<\/p>\n

\u25ba On the way to the Science Quarter<\/h3>\n

Our President Angela Ittel, Lord Mayor Dr Thorsten Kornblum and Minister of Science Falko Mohrs have signed a Letter of Intent on the CoLiving Campus<\/a>, which paves the way for the next steps in the participation and planning process. At the North Campus a science quarter is to be developed that will bring science and urban society together.<\/p>\n

\u25ba The Climate Research Center for Lower Saxony<\/h3>\n

… is being established at TU Braunschweig. Funded with 1.9 million euros from the state of Lower Saxony, the ZKfN<\/a> bundles the activities of topic-specific research laboratories in which interdisciplinary teams develop solutions for a safe and equitable climate future. Managing Director of the new center is Katharina Beckmann<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u25ba TU Braunschweig at Hannover Messe<\/h3>\n

With two research vehicles, the NFF demonstrates how far the idea of autonomous driving has already come. Sentics, a TU spin-off, will also be presenting itself at the international trade fair from 17 to 21 April<\/a> and Quantum Valley Lower Saxony (QVLS) will be presenting highlights of the limits of the measurable.<\/p>\n

\u25ba TU meets BAU 2023<\/h3>\n

When BAU 2023, the leading trade fair for the construction industry, starts in Munich on 17 April, research projects from our university will also be taking part. Among others, the Collaborative Research Centre TRR 277 Additive Manufacturing in Construction (AMC)<\/a> will present the innovative power of 3D printing for the construction industry. And the Institute of Construction Design, Industrial and Health Care Building (IKE) will provide insights into its project “SAVE – Effective Strategies for Controlling and Dealing with Pathogen Propagation Pathways to Protect Critical Infrastructures”.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Kick-off of the lecture series “Structure. Power. Injustice.”<\/h3>\n

The lecture series “System. Power. Injustice.”<\/a> provides interested persons with multi-perspective insights into forms of discrimination. On 19 April, the audience can look forward to a contribution by the student initiative “Chaoskollektiv” and a lecture by President Angela Ittel.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Bicycle flea market<\/h3>\n

Are you looking for a bicycle or do you want to sell your bicycle? On 22 April, the AStA’s bicycle and traffic group invites you to a bicycle flea market<\/a> in Eulenstra\u00dfe. Registration for sellers is only possible on the day of the event at the bicycle self-help workshop.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Campus flea market<\/h3>\n

If you would like to buy or sell something other than bicycles, the AStA is holding the next edition of the Campus Flea Market<\/a> on 28 April at the Grotrian Building. Sellers can register online for a sales table.<\/p>\n

\u25ba KNOW MORE campaign nominated for Impact of Diversity Award<\/h3>\n

The KNOW MORE campaign<\/a> against sexualised violence has been nominated for the Impact of Diversity Award in the University Award category. Public voting<\/a> for the awareness campaign of the Equal Opportunities Office is open until 28 April.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Funding programme of the national academic exchange service Poland (NAWA)<\/h3>\n

The \u201cZawacka NAWA programme\u201d<\/a> offers fellowships for researcher and PhD students for a research stay at a Polish institution of their choice for up to 9 months. The programme is open to researchers from all disciplines.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Darling of the week<\/h3>\n

Our darling of the week, the JUICE mission<\/a>, has to wait a little longer. More than 200 visitors waited eagerly in the auditorium of the Haus der Wissenschaft for the launch. A few minutes before the launch, it was postponed for 24 hours due to high altitude winds at the ESA launch pad in Kourou, French Guyana. We are keeping our fingers crossed that it will work out today and that the Ariane 5 rocket can launch into space towards Jupiter. If you want to be there, you can follow the launch live from 13:30 in the Haus der Wissenschaft.. Also on board are measuring instruments developed by the Institute of Geophysics and Extraterrestrial Physics and theInstitute of Computer and Network Engineering.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
