\u25ba Groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new Hydrogen Terminal<\/h3>\n

On 23 March, the starting signal was given for the construction of the Hydrogen Terminal<\/a> at the research airport. The project, which is funded by the BMBF with over 20 million euros, is being implemented by the Steinbeis Innovation Centre energieplus and TU Braunschweig. The aim is research into green hydrogen production technologies.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Ultra-fine particle study starts at Frankfurt Airport<\/h3>\n

In April, the study to assess the exposure of the Rhine-Main region to ultrafine particles<\/a> from Frankfurt Airport and their health effects will start. TU Braunschweig is also involved in the implementation.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Further training programme for staff<\/h3>\n

The first further training programme<\/a> of the Professional and Personnel Development Department for all employees is online. Registration is open for April to September. It offers all target groups a common service that is intended to make everyday work easier and promote personal development.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Postdoc programme for the summer semester online<\/h3>\n

Registration for the postdoc programme<\/a> for the coming summer semester has started. The programme includes events on various topics such as leadership, writing research proposals and dealing with conflicts.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Save the Date: Future City Conference<\/h3>\n

Cities have immense potential for sustainable transformation. The Future City Conference<\/a> invites all interested persons to Braunschweig on 11 and 12 October to explore “Research and Actions for Positive Change” from different perspectives.<\/p>\n

\u25ba ProDiGI funding line is heading into its last round<\/h3>\n

Applications for funding of international digital teaching projects<\/a> are possible until 22 May. New: Funding is also available for visits to initiate international teaching cooperations<\/a> with the Universities of Tampere and Strathclyde. An information event<\/a> will be held on 4 April.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Strategy for Research for Sustainability (FONA)<\/h3>\n

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has published an guideline<\/a> on upcoming funding formats within the framework of the “Strategy for Research for Sustainability (FONA)”.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Digital bouquet<\/h3>\n

Kirsten Griese, Department 31, presents a digital bouquet of flowers to Prof. Heiko Harborth, Emeritus at the Institute for Analysis and Algebra. First as a student, then as a doctoral student, research assistant and professor, he has been at TU Braunschweig for 65 years. Even in retirement, he continues to research and visits the institute regularly.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Darling of the week<\/h3>\n

Our darlings of the week are the three professors Sabine Langer, Institute of Acoustics, Melanie Brinkmann, Institute of Genetics, and Uta Schlickum, Institute of Applied Physics. On 10 May, they will take part in the next Salon der Wissenschaft (Science Salon)<\/a> and exchange views with visitors on various science topics in a one-on-one discussion.
