\u25ba Solidarity with Ukraine<\/h3>\n

With the 24th February it has been a year since the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine began. In a statement<\/a>, our President Angela Ittel expresses her gratitude to all TU members who have since then gone to immeasurable extent to support refugee scientists and students. Anyone who wants to set a sign for peace can take part in a commemorative event<\/a> today on the Schlossplatz. The City of Braunschweig, together with the association \u201cFreie Ukraine Braunschweig e. V.\u201d and the Propstei Braunschweig, invite you to take part at 16:30.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Single Molecule MRI through quantum sensors<\/h3>\n

With his project on nanoscale NMR<\/a>, junior professor Nabeel Aslam is taking nuclear magnetic resonance to the quantum level. While a classical MRI targets organs, the research group at the Institute of Condensed Matter Physics is targeting single molecules.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Reading promotion through app and AI<\/h3>\n

BesserLesen<\/a>, a BMBF joint project led by Professor Tim Fingscheidt from the Institute of Communications Technology, aims to improve reading skills through automatic speech recognition in primary school and for independent learning, among other things.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Start of inaugural lectures<\/h3>\n

Due to the pandemic, many inaugural lectures could not take place as usual. This is now being made up for. The first lecture starts on 01 March with Professor Stefan G\u00f6rtz on \u201cAutomation of Aircraft Design\u201d. In the new podcast \u201cFerngespr\u00e4ch\u201d of the International House, students and staff talk about international topics. The second episode<\/a> features Dr. Mark Mennenga and Steffen Bl\u00f6meke from the Institute of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Technology reporting on their research stay in Japan.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Invitation to the closing event \u201cFlexibles Arbeiten\u201d<\/h3>\n

Since autumn 2021, there has been an exchange on new forms of mobile working in the project “Flexibles Arbeiten”. The project will conclude on 28 February from 15:00 to 16:30 with an online event<\/a> open to all university members, presenting evaluation results and an outlook.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Personnel Support for Refugee Accommodation<\/h3>\n

The MWK has asked for support in the management of accommodations for refugees. Employees who, in coordination with their management, are interested in assisting with reception, distribution and care, please contact Anne Fritz in the Personnel Department by email<\/a> or telephone (-4350). Support is needed in Braunschweig, Laatzen or F\u00fcrstenau, with a minimum duration of 6 months and a minimum of 20 hours per week.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Deadline extension: Lower Saxony \u2013 Scotland Tandem Fellowship Programme<\/h3>\n

The European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS)<\/a> has extended the deadline for project proposals for the Lower Saxony \u2013 Scotland Tandem Fellowship Programme to 31 March 2023.<\/p>\n
