\u25ba Europe\u2019s quantum conference comes to Lower Saxony<\/h3>\n

The Quantum Valley Lower Saxony is hosting the European Quantum Technologies Conference (EQTC<\/a>). From 16 to 20 October, the leading heads of the quantum community will come together at the Hannover Convention Center \u2013 and will also pay a visit to the laboratories of our core research area metrology.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Regeneration tissue<\/h3>\n

Developing an implant that uses therapeutic proteins to enable regeneration of the tendon-bone junction, for example from shoulder injuries, is the goal of a collaborative project<\/a>. Leonie Berten-Schunk from the Department of Pharmaceutics gives insight into her work.<\/p>\n

… to Professor Ute Daniel<\/a>! The researcher from the Institute of Historical Studies has been awarded the City of M\u00fcnster’s Historian’s Prize, which is endowed with 15,000 euros. She is the first woman to receive the prize, which has been awarded eight times since 1981.<\/p>\n

\u25ba The electric power systems of the future<\/h3>\n

The Junior Research Group “Wiring Technologies” focuses on research questions concerning the design of on-board networks, wiring harnesses and new wiring concepts for power systems. In the current newsletter of the Junior Research Groups<\/a>, the team presents itself and its research.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Software and hardware architecture for future vehicle<\/h3>\n

The AUTOtech.agil network<\/a>, funded by the BMBF with 25 million euros, has set itself the goal of developing intelligent and networked vehicles. The nine participating universities and other automotive developers also include TU Institutes of Control Engineering and of Computer and Network Engineering.<\/p>\n

“Besser Smart”<\/a>, the innovation portal of the City of Braunschweig, reports on the Project House in its latest article. Julius Othmer, Head of the Project House, presents the work of the three teams, among other things.<\/p>\n

\u25ba QuantumFrontiers MasterClass in Istanbul<\/h3>\n

One month before the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, three TU researchers inspired 58 school students in Istanbul<\/a> with an insight into the topics of the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers and answered questions about studying in Germany.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Promoting digital international teaching together<\/h3>\n

The final event<\/a> of the ProDiGI funding rounds will take place on 20 February at 10:30 am, open to the public. The funded teaching projects will present a variety of ideas for the (further) development of international digital teaching.<\/p>\n

\u25ba With OpenData to more safety in cycling<\/h3>\n

The team of students and employees of the Sandkasten project OpenBikeSensor Braunschweig has completed more sensors that measure the distance of bicycles to motorized traffic. Cyclists can borrow<\/a> the devices and help improve the cycling infrastructure.<\/p>\n

In the “Advanced Practice Course Data Science” of the Institute of Analysis and Algebra, students created exciting images using AI methods. Which one do you like best? You can vote on the 21 pictures <\/a>until the end of February.<\/p>\n

\u25ba PhD Finishing Grant for Women<\/h3>\n

Professors and the female doctoral candidates they supervise can apply to the Equal Opportunity Office by 1 March for a PhD Finishing Grant<\/a>. The prerequisite is that the completion of the doctorate is delayed for family reasons, among other things, and the previous funding has expired.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Founding of an LGBTQ+ employee network<\/h3>\n

All employees who consider themselves part of the LGBTQ+ community or ally are invited to the founding on March 21 at 4 p.m. in the Equal Opportunity Office, B\u00fcltenweg 17.<\/p>\n
