In the online university elections<\/a>, you elect the members and their deputies of the Senate, the Faculty Councils, the Commission for Equal Opportunities and the PhD Students’ Representative Council. Students elect the student parliament, student councils and subject group councils.<\/p>\n

\u25ba #WeRemember<\/h3>\n

On Friday, 27 January, the national day of remembrance, TU Braunschweig remembers all victims of National Socialism. At the public event at the memorial threshold in front of the old building at 1 p.m., after a short speech by President Angela Ittel and student representatives, flowers will be laid and the victims will be remembered in a minute’s silence.<\/p>\n

\u25ba The secret of deep-rooted plants<\/h3>\n

The “secret life” of plants and trees below the earth’s surface is in the focus of the Junior Research Group “Isodrones”. Dr Matthias Beyer<\/a> reports on research with water isotopes and drones and the “360\u00b0 Interactive Research Site”, which allows you to discover the research site in Costa Rica via VR glasses.<\/p>\n

\u25ba New aircraft configuration is tested in the wind tunnel<\/h3>\n

\u25ba Rethinking existing buildings and monuments<\/h3>\n

Together with the Institute for Building Climatology and Energy of Architecture, the Lower Saxony State Office for Monument Preservation invites to the exhibition opening and panel discussion<\/a> in the Foyer Okerhochhaus on 7 February. “Resource Cultural Heritage” can then be seen through March 31. in the T\u00fcnzelsaal of the University Library.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Online course on opportunities of active mobility<\/h3>\n

Participants can learn how to make their own mobility more active in the free online course “Active Mobility for You”<\/a>. The course was developed by the Chair of Service Information Systems, the Chair of Services Management and Edinburgh Napier University (Scotland).<\/p>\n

In cooperation with \u201csichtbar. Fachzentrum gegen sexualisierte Gewalt e.V.\u201d, the KNOW MORE campaign is offering three workshops<\/a> starting 02.02.2023, that deal with consensus, (everyday) sexism, and sexual harassment in college and professional life.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Parent-child study with the “autoELFE” automated family car<\/h3>\n

Parents with children between the ages of 8 and 14 who would like to try out the vehicle functions of an automated family car together are looking for researchers from the Department of Engineering and Traffic Psychology for a study<\/a>. Applications are still possible until 17 February.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Live in Concert!<\/h3>\n

Six concerts<\/a>: The University Choir and the University Orchestra can be heard live again. Under the title “Das Wort ward Klang,” the unichor performs two concerts in St. Andrew’s Church and in the Audimax. The orchestra plays three times in the Audimax its program “The best of all worlds. An optimistic symphony concert.” And on 26 January, Michael von Zalejski will give his debut concert “Merci Udo! A tribute to Udo J\u00fcrgens”.<\/p>\n
