President Angela Ittel and the Choir of TU Braunschweig invite all employees and students to join the Advent singing on Thursday, 08 December 12:00 at the University Square. \u25ba Storing energy by converting it into green hydrogen<\/h3>\n

Surplus energy from renewable energy sources can be converted into hydrogen and stored via efficient electrolysis. Together with Kyoto University, the TU Braunschweig is researching the optimisation of electrodes<\/a>, which are of central importance in hydrogen production.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Optimal Air Supply<\/h3>\n

Hydrogen fuel cells have great potential for sustainable aircraft propulsion. Tim Wittmann at the Institute of Flight Propulsion and Turbomachinery is researching an optimal air supply for fuel cells at high altitudes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u25ba\u00a0 Research field topological solid-state physics further funded<\/h3>\n

The Collaborative Research Centre 1143<\/a> \u201cCorrelated Magnetism: From Frustration to Topology\u201d”, in which the Solid-State Theory Division at the Institute for Theoretical Physics is also involved with a subproject, will continue to be supported by the German Research Foundation in a third funding period.<\/p>\n

Lars Gerhold is setting up the new chair \u201cPsychology of Sociotechnical Systems\u201d. Here, the connection between humans and (digital) technology \u2013 such as the acceptance of warning systems \u2013 is studied. We asked him what excites him about it and as a policy advisor<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In creep tests, researchers from the Institute of Materials Science produce nanoporous membranes for potential pharmaceutical applications from nickel-based superalloys. How these membranes look under the microscope is shown in our new picture of the month<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 1922, todays\u2019 Studentenwerk OstNiedersachsen was founded as an economic office, at that time of Technische Hochschule Braunschweig, and in Clausthal-Zellerfeld as Clausthaler Studentenhilfe. The 100th anniversary has already been duly celebrated this year with various activities. We celebrate as well<\/a> and look forward to the next 100 years.<\/p>\n

In all videos, students give an exciting insight into their studies and report on what makes studying at TU Braunschweig so special. \u25ba Habitability<\/h3>\n

With ecological disasters and fragile geopolitics pushing people and the systems that sustain them to the limits, the question of what it means for the planet to be habitable takes center stage. A lecture series<\/a> organised by the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture and the City addresses issues of habitability. On 05 December, Nina Krass will talk about \u201cCircular Construction: how we rethink building\u201d.<\/p>\n

For a reading marathon<\/a> as part of \u201cOne University \u2013 One Book\u201d, Prof. Eckart Voigts invites you on 13 December.
