The newly revised glossary<\/a> offers all TU members assistance in translating terms from German into English and vice versa. In addition to the degree programmes, it contains more than 600 common terms from the university context.<\/p>\n

\u25ba On the way to wireless electromobility<\/h3>\n

In order to research wireless charging of electric vehicles, TU Braunschweig started a fleet test<\/a> at a Berlin IT and logistics company. As a basis for new charging concepts, real \u2013 wired \u2013 charging data is first collected.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Playing with quanta<\/h3>\n

In order to make quantum phenomena accessible to a broad audience, Professor Oliver Bodensiek<\/a> developed interactive exhibits together with the phaeno. Since Tuesday, the new exhibits can be explored in Wolfsburg.<\/p>\n

\u25ba A week full of prizes<\/h3>\n

The research project “Homeo-Hirn”<\/a> was awarded the second prize of the North German Science Award, TU student Mandy Hoffmann<\/a> received the Lower Saxony Science Award 2022 in the category “Students”, Professor J\u00f6rg Overmann<\/a>, Leibniz Institute DSMZ-German Collection of Microorganisms and Cell Cultures and Professor in the Institute of Microbiology,was given the Science Award of the Donors’ Association for the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany, and last but not least, the TU team<\/a> was honoured for first place in this year’s Braunschweig city cycling competition. Last week, the NFL also awarded a research prize to Dr Stanislav Karpuk and Prof Ali Elham, and two junior researcher prizes to Lucas Hermann and Julia Feder<\/a>. Congratulations to all award winners!<\/p>\n

\u25ba Free places in the “changING” research club<\/h3>\n

The research club of the Cluster of Excellence SE\u00b2A still has free places for students<\/a> in grades ten to twelve. changING offers insights into research for sustainable aviation with the aim of getting girls interested in technical topics.<\/p>\n

\u25ba TUne in: Save energy!<\/h3>\n

Tips for saving energy are now available weekly on our social media channels Facebook and Instagram<\/a>. Our first tip: Please set the thermostat on the heaters to a lower setting! The basic temperature should be 19 degrees Celsius during the day.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Graduates’ Day 2022<\/h3>\n

At the beginning of November, the graduates of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics were given their farewells<\/a>. The Walter Kertz Prize and the Erwin Marx Prize were also awarded on this occasion.<\/p>\n

\u25ba Nominations for the university election<\/h3>\n

\u2026 Nominations in the winter semester 2022\/23 can still be submitted until 28 November at 12 noon. The forms for entry in the list of nominations for each status group can be downloaded from the page of the Election Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The AHA team (Azubis-Helfen-Azubis)<\/a> presents a digital bouquet of flowers to the facilities that participated in this year’s welcome rally for the new trainees. The team would like to thank the speakers at the stations for their excellent preparation, the exciting presentations and insights.<\/p>\n
