On October 4, the German Academic Exchange Service<\/a> (DAAD) issued the following statement on the situation in Iran: \u201cThe German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) condemns the violence against students and university staff who are peacefully demonstrating in Tehran and other cities in the country.” The German Rectors’ Conference<\/a> (HRK) came up with a similar statement about events at Iranian universities. The Technical University of Braunschweig sees itself as an open-minded institution and joins these statements. There are numerous students and scientists at our University who come from Iran.<\/p>\n
