In February, storm “Ylenia”<\/a> damaged the artwork on the west facade of the main lecture hall, whereupon the “clouds” were taken down as a precaution. Now they have been repaired and fitted with an improved suspension system. Since Wednesday, the “clouds” have been hanging in place again and are ready for the visit of a jury. Because: The main lecture hall has been shortlisted for the Lower Saxony State Prize for Architecture 2022<\/a>. The state of Lower Saxony, represented by the Ministry for the Environment, Energy, Building and Climate Protection, has been awarding this prize since 1996. It is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of architecture. This year, applications were submitted on the theme of “Public (re)construction – on the way to climate neutrality”. The award ceremony will take place on June 23 at the Old Town Hall in Hanover.<\/p>\n
