\u25ba Prototype for testing autonomous driving functions<\/h3>\n

After three years of intensive work: The autoCARGO, the first prototype of the autonomous driving <\/span>UNICARagil<\/span><\/a> family, is available for testing functions. Three more vehicles for other use cases will follow, including the autoELF, developed by TU Braunschweig. The vehicle is intended to autonomously carry out everyday journeys within a multigenerational family.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25ba Gute K\u00fcste Niedersachsen: Minister for Science accompanies research trip<\/h3>\n

During the extensive summer measurement campaign of <\/span>“Gute K\u00fcste Niedersachsen”<\/span><\/a>, Minister for Science Bj\u00f6rn Th\u00fcmler informed himself about the project on Thursday. The research network, in which the Leichtwei\u00df-Institut for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources is involved, showed the real-world laboratory for ecosystem strengthening coastal protection near Spiekeroog.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25ba Defending AI against adversarial attacks<\/h3>\n

For the fourth time, the Institute for Communications Technology hosted the hands-on “<\/span>Deep Learning Lab<\/span><\/a>“. In the challenge, master’s students protected their intelligent image recognition software from harmful noise patterns.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25ba RUNDGANG 21 of the Department of Architecture<\/h3>\n

The best architecture sketches of the past academic year in a digital format: <\/span>RUNDGANG 21<\/span><\/a> will start on Friday at 11 hrs. with an open discussion led by Professors Helga Blocksdorf, Elisabeth Endres and Dan Sch\u00fcrch.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25ba Get vaccinated now – for campus life in presence, too<\/h3>\n

For staff and students and for anyone who wants to, a <\/span>mobile vaccination team<\/span><\/a> will come to campus on July 27 and august 5 from 10\u00a0 to 16 hrs. Directly in front of the Mail Building, you can then get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. One injection is sufficient for full vaccination protection. All other vaccines are now available at the vaccination centre, even without pre-registration!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25ba Air cleaners in lecture halls?<\/h3>\n

Will we need air purification devices in the future to clean the room air of viruses? After intensive consideration, the crisis team has <\/span>decided<\/span><\/a> not to procure these devices and recommends that all institutions also refrain from doing so.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25ba\u00a0 Energy and CO2 savings in cold rooms<\/h3>\n

Icing in cold rooms causes problems by consuming higher amounts of energy and thus CO2. This is now to be prevented by <\/span>intelligent system solutions<\/span><\/a> developed by Stephan Bansmer, Juan Velandia and David Burzynski as collaborators at the Institute of Fluid Mechanics.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u25ba Symposium International Teaching \u2013 Call for presentations<\/h3>\n

On November 18 and 19, faculty and students can share online about the challenges in <\/span>internationalizing teaching<\/span><\/a> during the pandemic. Short presentations on ideas, experiences and impulses can be submitted until September 15.<\/span><\/p>\n
