With the beginning of the lecture-free period, a very different summer semester is drawing to a close. The TU Braunschweig is involved in the consortia NFDI4Cat, NFDI4Chem and NFDI4Ing<\/a>.<\/p>\n Institutions against drug dealing, piracy and the financing of terrorism: Professor Anja Jacobi<\/a> is researching the fight against global crimes at the Institute of International Relations. Now she published an exciting overview.<\/p>\n Better evaluation of aging bridges to reinforce them: Dr. Sara Javidmehr<\/a> completed her doctorate in the Research Training Group 2075 \u201cModelling the constitutive evolution of building materials and structures with respect to aging\u201d. Marco Tollk\u00fchn<\/a> found support by his colleagues in the Research Training Group \u201cNanoMet\u201d. Now he stands beside the almost finished terahertz-microscope in the Laboratory for Emerging Nanometrology (LENA).<\/p>\n We congratulate Dr. Jacob Stolle<\/a> for the Governor General\u2019s Gold Medal, the highest Canadian award for students. The civil engineer was doing his PhD at the Leichtwei\u00df-Institute for Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources and the University of Ottawa on tsunami-resistant infrastructure.<\/p>\n On Thursday, about 160 students presented their semester projects at the \u201cYoung Software Developers\u2019 Day<\/a>\u201d.
