Es kann mit Worten, Symbolen oder Farben bedeckt werden \u2013 dadurch wird die Symmetrie des unbeschriebenen Blattes gebrochen und ein sinnliches oder abstraktes Muster entsteht. Dieses Muster erz\u00e4hlt eine Geschichte, stellt ein Objekt dar oder ruft ein verborgenes Gef\u00fchl hervor. In diesem Sinne kann das Strukturieren eine Vielzahl neuer Eigenschaften hervorbringen. \u00c4hnlich kann das Brechen der Symmetrie von Supraleitern und magnetischen Festk\u00f6rpern durch Nanostrukturierung zu neuartigen Verhaltensweisen f\u00fchren, die in den urspr\u00fcnglichen, unstrukturierten Materialien nicht beobachtet werden. Dies er\u00f6ffnet spannende neue Perspektiven in der Nano- und Quantenelektronik, wo quantisierte Anregungen \u2013 Fluxonen und Magnonen \u2013 als Tr\u00e4ger f\u00fcr Informations\u00fcbertragung und -verarbeitung dienen. Die entsprechenden Forschungsgebiete der kryogenen Quantenelektronik \u2013 Fluxonik und Magnonik \u2013 schlagen eine Br\u00fccke zwischen Festk\u00f6rperphysik, Materialwissenschaft und Elektrotechnik.<\/p>\n<p><em>A blank sheet of paper is open for further patterning. It can be covered with words, symbols, or colors, breaking the symmetry of the blank paper and producing a sensory or abstract pattern. This pattern tells us a story, depicts an object, invokes a hidden feeling&#8230; . In this sense, patterning can give rise to a variety of new properties. Similarly, breaking the symmetry of superconductors and magnetic solids through nano-patterning can lead to novel phenomena not observed in their pristine counterparts. This opens up exciting new directions in nano- and quantum electronics, where quantized excitations \u2013 fluxons and magnons \u2013 serve as carriers for information transfer and processing. The corresponding fields of cryogenic quantum electronics \u2013 fluxonics and magnonics \u2013 bridge condensed matter physics with materials science and electrical engineering.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Zur Person<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Oleksandr Dobrovolskiy studierte Physik an der V. Karazin Nationaluniversit\u00e4t in Charkiw, Ukraine, und promovierte am B. Verkin Institut f\u00fcr Tieftemperaturphysik und Ingenieurwissenschaften in Charkiw. Er besch\u00e4ftigte sich mit der theoretischen Beschreibung der Flussschlauchdynamik in Supraleitern und sammelte praktische Erfahrung als Elektronik- und Mikrowelleningenieur.<br \/>\nIm Jahr 2009 trat er der Arbeitsgruppe von Michael Huth am Physikalischen Institut der Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt am Main als Postdoktorand bei. Dort wurde er Principal Investigator und nach seiner Habilitation Leiter des Nano-Fluxonics-Labors. Seine Forschung konzentrierte sich auf die experimentelle Manipulation von Flussquanten in nano-strukturierten Supraleitern und Spinwellen in magnetischen Materialien.<br \/>\n2019 wechselte Oleksandr Dobrovolskiy an die Universit\u00e4t Wien und trat der Arbeitsgruppe von Andrii Chumak als Senior Scientist und Leiter des Labors f\u00fcr Supraleitung und Spintronik. In Wien erweiterte er seine Forschungskompetenz um optische und magneto-optische Messmethoden.<br \/>\nSeit Juli 2024 ist Oleksandr Dobrovolskiy Professor an der Technischen Universit\u00e4t Braunschweig. Er leitet die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/emg\/cryoquant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abteilung f\u00fcr Kryogene Quantenelektronik<\/a> am Institut f\u00fcr Elektrische Messtechnik und Grundlagen der Elektrotechnik sowie im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/lena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laboratory for Emerging Nanometrology (LENA)<\/a>. Seine Gruppe ist in das Exzellenzcluster <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quantumfrontiers.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">QuantumFrontiers<\/a>, die Braunschweiger Internationale Graduiertenschule f\u00fcr Metrologie und mehrere europ\u00e4ische Forschungsnetzwerke eingebunden. In seiner Antrittsvorlesung stellt Oleksandr Dobrovolskiy die Forschungsgebiete der Fluxonik und Magnonik vor und hebt einige k\u00fcrzlich entdeckte Ph\u00e4nomene an deren Schnittstelle hervor.<\/p>\n<p><em>Oleksandr Dobrovolskiy studied physics at V. Karazin National University in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and obtained his PhD from the B. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering in Kharkiv. He worked on the theoretical description of vortex dynamics in superconductors and gained practical experience as an electronics and microwave engineer.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>In 2009, he joined the group of Michael Huth at the Institute of Physics, Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, as a postdoctoral researcher. There, he became a principal investigator and, following his habilitation, head of the Nano-Fluxonics Laboratory. His research focused on the experimental manipulation of flux quanta in nanoengineered superconductors and spin waves in magnetic materials.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>In 2019, Oleksandr Dobrovolskiy moved to the University of Vienna, joining the group of Andrii Chumak as a Senior Scientist and head of the Superconductivity and Spintronics Laboratory. At Vienna, he expanded his research expertise towards optical and magneto-optical techniques.<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Since July 2024, Oleksandr Dobrovolskiy has been a professor at Technische Universit\u00e4t Braunschweig. He leads the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/emg\/cryoquant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Division for Cryogenic Quantum Electronics<\/a> within the Institute for Electrical Measurement Science and Fundamental Electrical Engineering and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tu-braunschweig.de\/en\/lena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Laboratory for Emerging Nanometrology (LENA)<\/a>. His group is involved in the Cluster of Excellence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quantumfrontiers.de\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">QuantumFrontiers<\/a>, the Braunschweig International Graduate School on Metrology, and several European research networks.
