This is of considerable interest in the field<br \/>\nof unconventional superconductivity, where controlled probing of the relaxation dynamics yields<br \/>\naccess to understanding ground state proper-ties of the underlying system.<br \/>\nMotivated by the recent development of terahertz pump-probe experiments, I will discuss in my talk<br \/>\nthe short-time dynamics in superconductors with multiple attractive pairing channels and competing<br \/>\nnematic instability. Studying a single-band and multiband superconductors, we analyze the signatures<br \/>\nof collective excitations of the pairing symmetries (known as Bardasis-Schrieffer modes) as well as the<br \/>\norder parameter amplitude (Higgs mode) in the short-time dynamics of the spectral gap and<br \/>\nquasiparticle distribution after an excitation by a pump pulse. We show that the polarization and<br \/>\nintensity of the pulse can be used to control the symmetry of the non-equilibrium state as well as<br \/>\nfrequencies and relative intensities of the contributions of different collective modes.<br \/>\nFinanlly I address the question of whether pump-probe technique can be used to reveal an interplay<br \/>\nbetween various collective modes visible in the superconducting state and to distinguish the<br \/>\nPomeranchuk nematic collective mode from the BS mode due to the subdominant Cooper-pairing<br \/>\nchannel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"class_list":["post-46462","kb_events","type-kb_events","status-publish","hentry","kb_cat_events-kolloquium","kb_institution_events-institut-fuer-geophysik-und-extraterrestrische-physik","kb_location_events-online","kb_theme_events-elektrotechnik-informationstechnik-physik","kb_audience_events-fachpublikum","kb_audience_events-interessierte","kb_audience_events-lehrerinnen-und-lehrer","kb_audience_events-studierende","kb_groups_events-physikalisches-kolloquium"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.8 -
