Part 1: Loading and dynamic response of jacket structures to breaking and nearbreaking waves<\/strong>
\nThe dynamic response of the truss\u2010type structures to extreme loads cased by breaking and near\u2010breaking loads will be discussed. A set of formulae will be introduced to calculate breaking wave loads on such structures. The presentation would be based on the highlights and outcomes of the PhD study of Mr. Arash Khansari.<\/p>\n

Part 2: Design of Geotextile Sand Containers (GSC) under wave and current<\/strong>
\nThe geotextile sand containers and their application in the fields of coastal, offshore and hydraulics engineering will be discussed. In addition, the design procedure for the stability analysis of GSC under different hydraulic conditions will be introduced.
