Energy System Transformation in Aviation

The research cluster „Energy System Transformation in Aviation“ deals with the challenge of making future air traffic efficient while meeting the competing demands for continuous growth and environmental sustainability at the same time. Under the umbrella of the research alliance, researchers at TU Braunschweig and Leibniz Universität Hannover submitted the draft proposal „Sustainable and Energy Efficient Aviation“ (SE²A) for funding in line with the Excellence Initiative. “Energy System Transformation in Aviation” is part of the joint research area “Mobilise”.
